IRVIN
Irvin is an east coast native, brought up between New Jersey and New York City. He left home to pursue a career in the military. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran with seven years of active duty service, he brings the same discipline, precision, and attention to detail to every client in his chair. He graduated from Bevelle Barber School and has continued to refine his skills since. His love for the craft has made barbering to him more than a job, it’s an art. He enjoys the conversations, and the opportunity to turn someone’s bad day into a great one. His specialties include fades, tapers, and gentlemen’s cuts, and is also experienced in hair bleaching and color. Always learning, adapting, and growing as the industry evolves. Outside the barbershop, he enjoy staying active at the gym, watching sports, gaming, anime, movies, and catching live music. When not working, he's traveling and exploring new places.
ELIESER
Elieser is a Cuban-born barber with 14 years of professional experience. He began his barbering journey in Cuba where he trained and developed a deep passion for the craft. Barbering is more than a profession for Elieser — it’s an art form that allows him to express creativity while helping clients look and feel their best. He specializes in all types of haircuts and fades, with advanced skills in scissor work, beard shaping, eyebrow detailing, and modern styling techniques. Continuous learning is key to his style of work as he loves to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques to ensure every client receives a fresh, modern look. Outside the barbershop, Elieser enjoys watching educational barbering videos and staying active through sports and especially baseball. JOHNNY
Johnny Sullivan, a seasoned barber with 23 years of licensed experience, hails from Nacogdoches, Texas, where his love for haircutting took root early on. After moving to Austin 20 years ago, Johnny has mastered every style that steps into the shop, delivering precision and confidence with every cut. Known for his attentive approach, he listens closely to each client’s needs, ensuring a personalized experience. Outside the shop, Johnny enjoys dining out, watching the latest films and classic movies, chatting with his kids, and sharing a good laugh. Jalen
Jalen Randle is originally from Houston but graduated from NeeCee's Barber College in Abilene TX. Jalen later became an instructor at the NeeCee’s Barber College location right here in Austin. Jalen loves the freedom that being a barber provides along with building relationships with his clients. The bottom line though is Jalen just loves the actual act of cutting hair! A transformation cut where the client is unrecognizable afterwards is something he never gets enough of. Away from the shop you'll find Jalen enjoying, photography, driving, and gaming. Alan
Alan was born and raised in California but him and his lovely wife have recently chosen Austin as their new residence. Alan is the type of person who always tries his best in life and you'll see that holds especially true when he is giving a haircut. He has to do his best every single time, it's just who he is. That commitment to excellence leads directly to results that we all are looking for when trusting someone with our hair. Alan is a master of his craft. Seeing clients leave feeling good and with a smile reassures him that he has done his job well and is a constant reminder about what makes him so passionate about barbering. Ricky
Ricky Shelby was raised in Top, Texas and graduated from BeVelle Barber School right here in Austin. Ricky really loves the entrepreneurial aspect of being a professional barber. Ricky says "What you put into this business is what you'll get out of this business." Providing high quality haircuts in a professional manner day in and day out is what has made Ricky's barbering business so successful. Ricky can handle any kind of cut that walks through the door but if he had to pick a specialty it would have to be a fade cut. Outside the shop Ricky can be found in the gym working out, fishing, or shooting at the gun range.

For Matthew Wandersee being a barber seemed to be the natural career choice. His grandfather Robert Wandersee started South Austin Barber Shop within months of Matt being born.
